5 Affordable Bathroom Renovations

I notice that every time I searched the web for interior lighting designs, the bathroom is given the least credit here. There are lots of pictures of beautiful lighting ideas on kitchen and living room. But less do I found information about bathroom lighting designs.

And here is my sketch design to show you what I am planning on doing with it. Of course, we will see how it all turns out at the end. One thing that I have learned with old houses is improvising ALL the time. One problem leads to another and another it always seems!! We will also be converting the claw foot tub into a shower too. I will have to custom fit a shower rise onto the tub due to the extremely short ceilings. I think I will also try to mount the shower curtain onto the ceiling and just have a small round curtain stall just around the shower head. Then have it collected up in the corner with a curtain hook when it isn’t used.

I went through each of the tasks required to do all the work in this kind of bathroom remodel and I came up with 73 labor hours. That is assuming everything goes about average and two people are working the job. In speaking with several contractors, they confirmed my time frame and most of them said they like to budget five to eight working days to complete a bathroom.

Going online is great for researching products and design ideas. But materials and finishes aren’t always as they appear on your computer screen. That blue-gray quartz vanity top might be more blue than gray in real life, or the light fixtures that look understated online could overwhelm your actual space. That’s why we always recommend visiting a showroom or design center before you buy. While you’re there, you may even get the showroom to meet or even beat the online price.

This is beautiful! Very similar to what I have in mind. I love the Allure planks and am thinking of doing the Weathered Stock Chestnut which is light brown and grey tones with a lot of variation. My concern is, we want to do laminate flooring in the bedroom. I’m worried the two wood looks nect to each other will not look right. Any opinions or experiences would be greatly appreciated!
