The Different Types Of Hydroponic Systems And Their Parts
Agriculture can be rated as one of the most popular activities which is carried out by many people directly in farms or indirectly when processing or manufacturing of various agricultural products. Agriculture as an independent sector is taken as a base of many economies with the agricultural products being grown used for either exports or consumption. Most economies that are well-off have the best agricultural bases that meet most needs of different people. Countries can choose to specialize in different types of agriculture depending on some of the resources that are available in that economy. Since different plants grow in different climatic conditions and soils, it is very important to reconsider the type of agricultural practice that you want to carry out. One of the most trending agricultural practices that has been adapted by most countries with the help of technology is hydroponics.
Hydroponics is considered to be a subset of hydroculture that basically involves the process of growing plants using various mineral nutrient solutions found in water solvents without employing the use of soil. Terrestrial plants can be planted with the roots being immersed in the solution. The nutrients which are used in hydroponics are from normal nutrients, duck manure or fish waste. The basic parts which we will require so as to build hydroponic systems are the growing chambers, submersible pump, reservoirs, simple timers, delivery systems, air pumps and grow lights. Water culture, ebb-flow, wick system, drip system, Nutrient Film Technique and Aeroponics are the main six types of Hydroponic systems.
Aeroponics are types of hydroponic systems where roots of different plants are stored in environments which are highly saturated with nutrients solutions in form of drops. Aeroponics does not need a substrate since it basically entails the growing of different plants while suspending their roots in different deep air or growth chambers. The fact that this method has excellent aeration makes it to qualify as one of the best hydroponic system.
Ebb-flow systems are types of hydroponic systems that are very common in home hydroponic. This type of system is easy to construct and can be built using any material that might be laying around. The drip system can be referred to as the most adopted hydroponic system which is used by numerous farmers. It is not a hard concept that requires only few parts yet proved to be versatile and effective. Here people just drip nutrient solutions on different plant roots so as to keep the roots moist.
Hydroponics can be rated as one of the best agricultural practices used by many farmers in the world. Hydroponic has become of the most adapted type of agriculture which uses some mineral nutrient solutions which originate from water solutions.
