Today I’m sharing with you a bathroom remodel!! This guest bathroom is actually at my Parents’ house… they did all of the work themselves.
Okay, time to switch gears here. Let’s meander on over to our Guest powder bath that can officially be considered a full bath now since we’ve added a shower. We’re in the middle of a bathroom remodel right now – my husband is doing the work so it saves on the labor cost. New faucets and paint go a long way to improving the aesthetics! We did remove our toilet and tub (we had the original Harvest Gold items placed in the 1970’s). This is really a great hub!
Updating an outdated kitchen could be as easy as replacing the cabinetry. This can be done on your own, but remember to make sure to check for all of the screws that are holding your existing cabinets in place. Cut the caulk that is sealing it to the wall prior to removing them, and you will have a nice smooth surface to install the new ones. I love the idea of the microwave drawer, so much more practical and such a space saver. Some great ideas in this hub.
Best bet is to find a contractor who has built ‘partial sub-surface dwellings’ before, and has been successful at it, and then have him show you some pictures first. Halogen lights are a great addition to any room. Halogen is especially well suited to the kitchen because of the task lighting is needed. A brighter more focused light cannot be found that can outshine halogen. Oh how I envy your bathroom and your DIY skills! I’m frightened to even attempt a bathroom remodel! Enjoy!
Making a few cosmetic changes like fresh paint, new bathroom fixtures and a little yard work, I thought this would be something I could do on the weekends while I held down a full time job. What I found out after signing the closing papers would change everything. The room for the cabinet- makes a world of difference too. Looks like there is much more light coming in the window too.. I can’t wait to see the rest of it. High-gloss, durable acrylic is unbelievably easy to clean with just a simple spray cleaner and wet cloth! I love your tips. I have been looking for great, cheap ideas to redecorate my bathroom and this one is a must-do on my list. Thanks!
